AGM 2020 - Register for the virtual meeting

This year, our Annual General Meeting will be held at the Financial Administrative Center on June 23rd 2021 from 5:00PM

The meeting will also be held virtually, to register click here.

Here are a few things to guide you through this process:

  • Test your connection. It’s always a good idea to test the link and your equipment beforehand. You can check if it works by clicking on the meeting link.

  • Sign in early! We will be there at least 30 minutes beforehand, and can help troubleshoot any technical issues you might be having before we commence. You will enter the waiting room, which serves as the registration desk. The host, on verifying your eligibility will allow you into the main meeting room.

  • Camera & microphone. Once you are in the main room, your camera and microphone will be turned off by default. If you so desire, you may turn your camera on so that you can be viewed by everyone.

  • Raise questions. Place any question that you have in the chat section of Zoom. Your questions will be addressed in a timely manner. You can access this feature by clicking on the chat icon in the bottom of the window.

  • Voting. When it is time to vote for your Board of Directors and Committee Members, the Nominations committee will present the list of nominees. The floor will then be opened to accept nominations from the membership.

To nominate a candidate, raise your hand, state the person’s name when your mic is unmuted. (Prior to submitting a name, please confirm the nominee’s interest in the post.) There must be a seconder to your motion. This can also be facilitated through the chat.

Should the member accept the nomination, he/she will be allowed to present a brief bio via video.

When nominations have been completed, you will receive a poll listing the candidates and the number of vacancies. Please limit your selections to the number of vacant posts.

The votes will be verified and the results announced.

    Using Zoom

To participate in this meeting, we recommend the use of a computer, phone or tablet with speakers / headphones and a microphone. If you would like others to view you, a camera will be required. If you do not have a microphone, you can still participate via the chat in Zoom.

If you’re connecting to a Zoom meeting for the first time on an electronic device, you will be asked to download and install the Zoom client. The download should start automatically and you will be asked to confirm. Once the download is finished, install the software on your device. If you are using a Mac and having trouble installing it, check out this support page: Install on Mac.

If you’re unable to install the Zoom Client, you have the option to join from your browser, albeit with limited functionalities. If you’ve already got Zoom installed, a small pop-up window will appear asking “Open zoom.us?” Click Open to be connected to the meeting.

    Hope this helps!
